Every AI feature works directly in the app — no terminal, no desktop, no context switching.
Ask questions about your repo, get explanations of recent commits, and plan changes through natural conversation.
One-tap AI actions for common tasks. Summarize changes, suggest fixes, and generate code — directly from context.
Auto-generate meaningful commit messages from your staged changes. Conventional commit format by default.
Resolve merge conflicts with context-aware suggestions that understand both sides of the change.
Edit files, add headers, refactor code, and apply changes — all from chat without leaving the app.
Set up Git LFS tracking, git-crypt encryption, and .gitignore rules instantly through conversation.
GitSync AI understands your repository context and acts on it
Step 1
Type a question in chat or tap the wand on any file. AI reads your repo state — branches, diffs, history — automatically.
Step 2
AI proposes changes with full context. See exactly what will be modified before anything happens. Every destructive action requires confirmation.
Step 3
Confirm the action and it executes. Commits, file edits, conflict resolution, LFS setup — all applied directly in your repo.
Each team member gets their own monthly AI budget. Usage is tracked independently — one person's heavy usage doesn't affect the rest of the team.
AI access is managed at the organization level. Enable or disable AI for your entire team with a single setting. Budgets are configurable per org.
Team members can optionally use their own API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or self-hosted providers. Keys stay on-device and never touch GitSync servers.
GitSync Hosted AI routes requests through our API to Anthropic's Claude. Your repo content is sent to Claude for processing and is not stored by GitSync beyond the request lifecycle.
With BYOK, requests go directly from your device to the provider — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or your own server. Your API key is stored locally and never leaves the device.
AI-generated content may not always be accurate and should be reviewed before use. All destructive operations require explicit confirmation before execution.
Available on the Team + AI and Enterprise plans.
